Description

Long ago, the Cheyenne people lived in the area of the Great Lakes. Because they were the last in the area to come into contact with the Europeans, they were forced west by the more powerful tribes moving into the northern plains. The Cheyennes eventually acquired the horse and became a powerful nation of Indians.
